WHITEY

Greg began playing with Milonga in 2002 but eventually stepped down in 2005 due to a busy work schedule, passing the torch to Eddie Ramirez. In early 2013, Greg began filling in again for Eddie, who also battles a busy work schedule these days. Greg performs regularly in the Nic Vigil Trio, also known as the Milonga Trio as well as many other local groups. Greg's involvement with Milonga, in the early years as well as more recently, has been a driving force to the band's energy and success. He introduced current and long-time keyboardist, Greg Brandt to the band, as well as guitarist Paul Salerno, and saxophonist Brett Dechenne, all stellar players who have performed with Milonga over the years. Greg recently completed 12 monthly rounds of chemo-therapy for Hodgkins-Lymphoma and emerged completely cancer-free. His toughness and positivity has been a huge inspiration, as well as a catalyst. His bass playing makes any of the bands he performs in sound great.
